Once your transfer is complete, we will automatically close the account you transferred from. Please note that you won’t be able to reopen a Smart Cash ISA or a Chip Cash ISA (whichever one you closed) until the next tax year.
Since April 2024, you can hold and subscribe to more than one cash ISA in the same tax year. Your overall £20,000 ISA allowance is shared across all your ISAs. This means you don't need to close one cash ISA before you can open another.
