Chip has an ICO data control licence and we strive to always be in full compliance with the Data Protection Act.

Chip connects to your current account through "Truelayer" Open Banking and information is only shared directly with your bank. Chip does not see or store any of your login details and the connection is confirmed via your banking app or a one-time password.

We use Open Banking for information such as balances, transactions, and spending patterns which Chip uses to power its AI and other features in the app that rely on data from your current account.

For more information on Open Banking, and how we use it, please click here.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us via email at hello@getchip.uk or via the in-app chat (this can be found in the Profile tab) and we'll be happy to help.
