Why is the default 8 Spiral Review points in an assignment?
GMM assignments include 8 Spiral Review points by default because students should earn at least 50% of their points in Spiral Review. In Spiral Review, each student's $ sign is prioritizing the practice for that student.
GMM assignments should include no more than three new skills at three points per skill with at least eight Spiral Review points.
Why is the default 3 points per skill for each new target skill?
At three points per skill, students can level up to yellow on the new target skills. Yellow is the color of initial understanding and is built-in exit ticket.
Teachers can view student proficiency, see who earned the exit ticket, and remediate from Spiral Review.
