What does "Points Per Skill" mean?

When creating an assignment, Points per Skill defaults to 3 points

Updated over a week ago

Points per Skill is the number of problems you want students to practice for each skill in the assignment. This value will be multiplied by the number of skills to determine the Assignment Points. This determines how many points your students must earn before moving into Mixed Review. These points will be evenly distributed among the skills included in the assignment.

BEST PRACTICE: Use the default of 3 points per skill and add three or fewer skills to an assignment.

The transition to Spiral Review is an automatic, and incredibly important moment in GMM, but we don't want students to move on to practicing past material until they've shown initial mastery with the new skills. The default for Points per Skill is three points. Keep this in mind when deciding an appropriate number. We recommend keeping it small and achievable, but enough to demonstrate understanding.
