GMM Best Practice: Have students show work

Having students show work provides insight to their understanding and work samples for IEP/504/RtI reports

Updated over a month ago

By having students show work, teachers can view a student's understanding of a concept or insight to the student's misconception on a missed problem. In addition, work shown on paper provides work samples for any IEP/504/RtI reports.

GMM Best Practice:

Teachers have students show work on paper or dry erase boards as they work in GMM.

Teachers have found that students showing work in GMM journals or using dry erase boards provides insight regarding the student's understanding of a concept.

Often, teachers tell students to make sure they are ready for help by having their work shown.
