What is a segment?

A segment is a group of users defined by specific rules that you set, from inside Acute. With segments, you can filter your feedback and see feature requests coming only from a specific group - for example: paying users vs free users, enterprise customers, churned customers, etc.

How it works

Define relevant group segments based on criteria like monthly revenue, signup date, number of sessions, etc. Then, you can slice and dice your feedback based on a particular segment to better understand and prioritize the needs of your most important customers.

To create a New segment, from the feedback page click on Manage segments and Add a new Segment.

From the Segment modal, select which user or company data you want to filter on (monthly revenue, sessions), the operator (greater than/equal/less than) and the value. You can add multiple filters to a segment - for example Monthly revenue greater than 0 AND Signed up more than 30 days ago.

You can then filter feedback based on your defined segments from the Segment dropdown.

User segments give you better insights into what features are the most important to different type of users like New customers, Long-term customers, VIP, or Enterprise customers.
