Breezy provides different types of customer notifications related to appointments and technician arrival. While these notifications may seem similar, each serves a distinct purpose. This guide explains the differences and when each is sent.

1. Technician is On Their Way
Purpose: Notifies the customer that the technician is en route to the job location.
Trigger: Sent when the technician marks their assignment as "On My Way" or "En Route" in the app.
Control:

  • The technician can choose whether or not to send this notification at that moment.

  • Sending also depends on the notification preferences set for the point of contact on the job.

2. Appointment Confirmation
Purpose: Confirms that an appointment has been scheduled.
Trigger: Sent when creating or editing an appointment, if the option is enabled.
Control:

  • The user creating or editing the appointment can opt in or out of sending this notification (depending on your company’s configuration).

  • Delivery also depends on the point of contact’s notification preferences.

Appointment Reminder
Purpose: Reminds the customer of an upcoming appointment.
Trigger: Sent when an appointment is scheduled more than 24 hours in advance and the reminder option is enabled.
Control:

  • The user can choose whether or not to send the reminder when creating or editing the appointment (depending on configuration).

  • Delivery also depends on the point of contact’s notification preferences.
