Breezy provides different types of customer notifications related to appointments and technician arrival. While these notifications may seem similar, each serves a distinct purpose. This guide explains the differences and when each is sent.
1. Technician is On Their Way
Purpose: Notifies the customer that the technician is en route to the job location.
Trigger: Sent when the technician marks their assignment as "On My Way" or "En Route" in the app.
Control:
The technician can choose whether or not to send this notification at that moment.
Sending also depends on the notification preferences set for the point of contact on the job.
2. Appointment Confirmation
Purpose: Confirms that an appointment has been scheduled.
Trigger: Sent when creating or editing an appointment, if the option is enabled.
Control:
The user creating or editing the appointment can opt in or out of sending this notification (depending on your company’s configuration).
Delivery also depends on the point of contact’s notification preferences.
Appointment Reminder
Purpose: Reminds the customer of an upcoming appointment.
Trigger: Sent when an appointment is scheduled more than 24 hours in advance and the reminder option is enabled.
Control:
The user can choose whether or not to send the reminder when creating or editing the appointment (depending on configuration).
Delivery also depends on the point of contact’s notification preferences.
