Creating a Promotion

Updated over 3 months ago

Title and Description

Your title and description will be shown to customers on the default promotion display card and on the dedicated page for that promotion.

Vendor Specific Promotions

If a promotion will only apply to certain vendors, turn on the "vendor specific" switch and select those vendors from the list. You can filter the list by writing the name.

Active Dates

Active Dates control when your promotions will run. Promotions can be set to run once, repeat daily, or on a certain day of the week.

We recommend you set your active dates to match the valid period for a single day of a promotion. EG "Promotions are valid from 8am to midnight" or "Promotions are valid from 7am to 2am the following day"

Multi Day Promotions

To create a promotion that runs every day for a month, set the active date to your single day range, then set it to repeat daily. End repeating on the final day of the month.

Weekly Promotions

To create a promotion that runs weekly on a specific day of the week, set the active date to your single day range, then set it to repeat weekly. You can choose to Never end repeating, or select a specific date when the promotion will stop running.

Limits

Limits allow you to control how many customers use a promotion. You can set a limit per customer, per order, or a total limit of uses.

Deals

Select a deal type to include in your promotion. You can group multiple deals inside of a single promotion. For details on each deal type, and how to use them, look in the Types of Deals article.

Store Display Card

A default promotion display card will be created for you during onboarding. As you type in the title, it will appear on this image. Please reach out to support if you would like to set a new default image. If you would like to upload your own card for that specific promotion, use the "custom image" button. You will need to toggle "show text + button" off when uploading a custom image.

The image specifications for uploading a promotion image can be found by clicking on the i icon under the default promo image.

Saving, Publishing, Editing, Removing

Saving a Promotion

You can save a promotion as a draft if you aren't ready to publish it yet. Click the save button on the right hand sidebar. Your saved promotion will appear as a draft on the main promotions page.

Publishing a promotion

Before publishing a promotion - double check that all of your information is correct.

Click the "Save and Publish" button on the right of the Create a Promotion page. It will show up as a scheduled promotion on the main promotions page

Editing Promotions

If a promotion is saved as a draft, or currently scheduled but not yet active, you can edit it by clicking on its card in the Scheduled Promotions Page. To edit an active promotion you will need to hide it and create a new one.

Removing Promotions

You can suspend any active promotion to stop it before its end date or hide it from the store. You can also unsuspend the promotion and it will return to its configured schedule.
