You can repay one or more of your loans early, without any extra fees. Since interest is calculated on a pro-rata basis, the earlier you repay, the less you pay.
Two early repayment options are available:
Bring forward the Direct Debit date
Make a manual bank transfer right away
☝️ If the original direct debit is in progress, it is too late to change the date. Our banking partner requires 2 working days for any updates.

Repay earlier or today
Option 1: Repay a single loan
Go to the Repayments > To repay section of your account
Locate the loan you want to repay
Click the "Pay early" button on the right-hand side of that row
Option 2: Repay multiple loans at once
Go to the Repayments > To repay tab
Tick the boxes next to each loan you want to repay
A floating bar will appear at the bottom of your screen with three actions:
Repay now (via bank transfer)
Anticipate (advance the direct debit)
Postpone
Next: Choose your repayment method
Option 1 : Advance the automatic direct debit
1. Click “Anticipate” in the floating bar (or "Pay now" on the loan row for single loan)
2. Choose your preferred collection date (default is 2 business days from now)
3. Confirm — your account will be debited automatically on the selected date
✅ No manual transfer is required — Defacto handles everything for you.
Option 2 : Repay immediately by bank transfer
Click on “Repay now”. You’ll have two options:
Through a payment link
Click “Secure bank payment” to be redirected to your bank’s interface and initiate the transfer in just a few clicks, without any copy and pasting!Manual transfer
Copy Defacto’s bank details and reference, make the transfer from your bank, then click “I’ve made my bank transfer” to confirm.
🕒 The repayment date will be the date we receive the funds
✅ The originally scheduled direct debit will be cancelled
Good to Know
The maximum amount allowed for instant transfers varies by bank. It is usually around €100,000.
If the “Pay early” button is greyed out, the debit is already in progress — no changes can be made.
You can group multiple loans into a single repayment action — either by transfer or by scheduling a new collection date.
