Adding the Guru app to a Slack Channel
To create a Guru Card that includes threaded comments, add the Guru app to the Slack channel. You only need to do this step once per Slack channel in your workspace.
Click on the title of the channel
Click on the Integrations tab
Click Add apps
Add the Guru Wiki app
Alternatively, you can @ mention guru in a message in the Slack channel.
Creating Cards in Slack:
Click on the three ellipses (“...”) on the upper right-hand corner of any Slack message
After clicking on the three ellipses, select Create Card. If you don't see this option under the ellipses menu, choose more message shortcuts and search for Create Card.
Select which Collection, Title, and Content you’d like to include in your Card
If you have added the Guru app to the channel, you can select if you would like to create a Card from that message of the entire thread:
5. Select the Verifier and Verification interval. You can also assign the Card to a Board and add tags.
5. Click Save to save your Card in Guru or Save as Draft if you'd prefer to revisit in the web app or extension before publishing.

helpand click on the three ellipses (“...”) displayed to the right of Content Creation, which provides the option for Create Card.
2. Or, you can create a Card in a channel with Guru @mentioned (i.e.
@guru create card).
3. The Guru bot will redirect you to create the Card in a Slack thread, where you can then select the Collection, Verifier, Verification Timeline, Boards, and tags.
If the tags/Boards you would like to utilize are not already in your Guru account you can create new tags and Boards in advance of creating your Card by typing
create boardin your DM with Guru.
You cannot create new tags or Boards during the Card creation process.
If you answer a question in Slack by creating a new Card via the bot, the verifier is automatically you.
The timeline for verification is set for three months by default.
Images or files cannot be pulled from Slack messages into Guru Cards.
