Taking a Screenshot
For iPhones with Face ID (iPhone X and newer):
Press the Side button and Volume Up button at the same time
Quickly release both buttons
A thumbnail appears in the bottom-left corner—tap it to edit or share, or swipe left to save
For iPhones with a Home button:
Press the Home button and Side button (or Top button) at the same time
Quickly release both buttons
A thumbnail appears—tap it to edit or share, or swipe left to save
Recording Your Screen
Open Settings > Control Center
Tap the + button next to "Screen Recording"
Open Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner (or up from the bottom on older iPhones)
Tap the Record button (circle icon)
Wait for the 3-second countdown
To stop recording, tap the red status bar at the top and select "Stop," or open Control Center and tap the Record button again
The video saves to your Photos app
Android Devices
Taking a Screenshot
Most Recent Android Phones (Android 12+):
Press the Power button and Volume Down button at the same time
Hold briefly until you see a flash or animation
The screenshot appears as a thumbnail—tap it to edit or share
Alternative Methods:
Some devices: Press and hold the Power button, then tap "Screenshot"
Samsung devices: Swipe the edge of your hand across the screen (if enabled in settings)
Recording Your Screen
Android 11 and Newer:
Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to open Quick Settings
Look for "Screen record" or "Screen recorder" (you may need to swipe left to find it)
Tap the icon
Choose your settings (audio options, show touches, etc.)
Tap "Start" and wait for the countdown
To stop, swipe down and tap the screen recording notification, or tap "Stop" in the notification shade
The video saves to your Photos or Gallery app
If you don't see Screen Record:
Open Quick Settings and tap the pencil/edit icon
Find "Screen record" and drag it to your active tiles
How to Send to Support
Once you've captured your screenshot or recording:
Via Text Message (SMS)
iPhone:
Open the Messages app
Start a new message or open an existing conversation with support
Tap the Photos icon (to the left of the text field) or the + icon
Select "Photo Library"
Choose your screenshot or recording
Tap to add it to your message
Add any description of the issue and send
Android:
Open your Messages app
Start a new message or open an existing conversation with support
Tap the attachment icon (paperclip or + icon)
Select "Gallery," "Photos," or "Files"
Choose your screenshot or recording
Tap to add it to your message
Add any description of the issue and send
Note: Video recordings can be large files and may take time to send via text. If your message fails to send, try using Wi-Fi or consider one of the other methods below.
Via Support Chat Bubble
iPhone:
Open our support chat
Tap the paperclip icon at the bottom of the chat
Choose one of the three options:
"Photo Library" to select an existing screenshot or recording
"Take a Photo or Video" to capture something new
"Choose Files" to browse your files
Select your screenshot or recording
Add a message describing the issue and send
Android:
Open our support chat
Tap the attachment icon (paperclip or + icon)
Select "Gallery," "Photos," or "Files"
