Contractors must be 21 years or older and provide a valid driver’s license to complete verification.
Step 1: Scan the Front of Your Driver’s License
Start by taking a photo of the front of your driver’s license.
Tips for a clear photo
• Place the license on a dark surface
• Make sure all four corners are visible
• Avoid glare from lights
• Hold your device steady
Step 2: Scan the Back of Your License
Next, you will be asked to flip the license and scan the back.
The back contains a barcode that helps verify the license information.

• Make sure the barcode is clearly visible
• Avoid glare from lights
• Hold your phone close enough for the barcode to focus
Submit for Verification:
After confirming the accuracy of the scans, submit your driver’s license for verification.
The system will process your information. It will show once the verification is complete.
Step 3: Complete the Selfie Check
After scanning your license, you’ll take a quick selfie.
This helps confirm the person submitting the ID is the same person shown on the license.
Tips for the selfie
• Remove hats or sunglasses
• Make sure your face is well lit
• Look directly at the camera
• Follow the prompts to turn your head slowly
Common Issues
Verification may fail if:
• The license photo is blurry or dark
• Part of the license is cut off
• The license is expired or temporary
• The barcode on the back cannot be read
If this happens, try again with better lighting or reposition the license.
We allow for 5 attempts. After the 5th failed attempt, your onboarding will not be able to continue.

How do I update my driver's license?
Reach out to the dispatcher or city manager for the company you onboarded with through GigSafe for them to submit the beneficiary step for recollection and provide you the appropriate link.
