Recruitment's a team sport. Here's how to add your team to Giig, and how to control what they can see and do.
Hey! Luke here, founder of Giig š
Getting your team into Giig takes a couple of minutes, tops. No calling a sales rep, no waiting on a quote, no IT ticket. Here's what we'll cover:
Adding seats to your account
Inviting your team members
Setting people up as a Manager or a User
Controlling what each role can see and do with Team Access
š” Pro tip: seats first, invites second. You need a free seat for every person you invite, so sort those before you start sending invites out.
Adding seats
Click your profile picture, top right of the platform
Choose Team from the drop-down
Hit Add/Remove Seats
Set the total number of seats you need and click Update Subscription
š” Pro tip: someone's left the business? Use the same Add/Remove Seats button to drop a seat so you're not paying for an empty chair.
Inviting your team
Seats sorted? Now for the fun bit, getting the team in.
Still on the Team page, click Add Team Member
Pop in their New Team Member Name and the Email Address to send invite to
Hit Save
They'll get an email from Giig. All they need to do is click Join Team and follow the instructions
That's it. No IT ticket, no faffing about with logins.
š” Pro tip: invite hasn't landed? Get them to check their spam or junk folder before you send another one.
Manager or User?
Once someone's joined, you decide what kind of access they get. Every team member is either a Manager or a User.
Find them in the Team Members list on the Team page
Click Actions next to their name
Choose Change to a Manager to give them Manager access
Think of it like this: your senior consultants and team leads probably want more room to move. Your new starters? Maybe keep the stabilisers on for a bit.
Controlling who can do what with Team Access
This is where you get to be the boss.
On the same page, scroll down to Team Access
Open each section and choose what Managers can do
Then choose what Users can do
There are plenty of options to restrict and open up (Dashboard, Job, Candidate, Company, Contact, Email, Files, Website, Pipeline, Reports, Notes and MCP), so it's worth going through them all. When you're happy, click Save.
Changes kick in the next time your team's session refreshes. A common setup is giving Managers more freedom and keeping Users a little more restricted, but every desk runs differently, so set it up the way that works for yours.
š” Pro tip: not sure where to draw the line? Start tighter and open things up as you go. Much easier than clawing access back later. Ask me how I know.

Look, software's only useful if it actually helps you place people faster, that's the whole point of Giig.
