How to see all projects in a workspace

Use audit mode to see everything

Written by Holly Conrad Smith

As a workspace administrator, you are often managing lots of data for your organization. This could include project permissions, templates, spaces, and more.

Giraffe's governance settings default to the most secure view available, meaning you will typically only see projects that have been explicitly shared with you.

Workspace administrators can use audit mode to review every project in the workspace, whatever it's shared with. Audit mode only covers the workspace you're in. A project someone saved in a different workspace, such as their personal one, won't show up, even in audit mode. To see it, ask them to share it with you.

Audit mode needs Workspace Admin access. Being an admin of a team does not give you audit mode. A team admin sees only the projects shared with them or with their teams. To get audit mode, ask a workspace admin to make you a Workspace Admin.

Here's how:

From the Portfolio Layer

The portfolio layer is your workspace project list. Typically, you will see the projects that have been shared with you. As a workspace admin, toggle "audit" to see everything.

  1. Add a portfolio layer to a Space or Project.

  2. Then, activate it in the data table

  3. Toggle on "audit mode" (bottom right)

Once you're in audit mode, you can use bulk selection tools to share, delete and edit projects en masse.

Via URL

You can also quickly edit the url to see all projects.

Simply replace "work" with "audit" in the url, and refresh the page.
