Create a Content Pack

How to create a new Content Pack in Giraffe v6 — filling out pack details, selecting contents, and publishing to the Content Library.

Written by Holly Conrad Smith

Save the usages, flows, and layers your team uses on every deal as a content pack, so the next feasibility study starts from your standards instead of a blank project.

Available on Team and Enterprise plans.

Start a new pack

Click My Content at the bottom of the Content Library sidebar and choose Create Content Pack.

OR

Choose Export > To Content Library… in the top bar menu.

The export option is hidden inside Spaces and in read-only projects.

Fill in pack details

The pack details form has these fields:

  • Name

  • Description

  • Search Terms

  • Tags

  • Thumbnail

  • Video URL

  • Company Website

The name is required. The description shows in listings. Search terms are comma-separated keywords that help people find the pack. Tags show as colored chips on the listing. A thumbnail is required, and you can click Capture from project or upload your own image. The video URL becomes a Watch Demo link, and the company website becomes an About the Creator link.

Giraffe sets the pack's units from your project's units.

The Content Library can't change a pack's name after you save it. Rename a pack from Home > Content Packs.

Choose pack contents

  1. Choose a Category.

  2. Leave Import dependencies on to include the content your selected items rely on.

  3. Turn on Limit to Selected to include only the geometries you've selected on the map.

  4. Check the items to include on each content type tab.

The category sets which content types you can choose. The Content Pack Categories article lists them. Dependency items show a flag and come pre-checked.

Changing the category clears the content you've already selected.

Publish settings for admins

Workspace curators and admins see a Publish Pack section with these settings:

  • Featured

  • Icon URL

  • Stripe Product ID

  • Color

Featured pins the pack to the Featured row on the Workspace tab.

Save the pack

Click Save to create the pack. The pack's details open so you can check it.
