A site plan headed to a client or a planning department needs to be readable on its own, with callouts, labels, and dimensions a viewer can follow without you in the room. An annotation is text, a symbol, or a graphic added to communicate those details. It isn't part of the physical design.
Show or hide all labels
Hide every label on the map at once to check the massing on its own, then bring them back before you present. Open the Annotations button's menu in the drawing toolbar and choose Toggle Label Visibility. Choose it again to show the labels.
Toggle Label Visibility only changes what you see on the map. Your labels stay on your geometries.
Marker
Two separate tools: Text Marker and Icon Marker. Each places a point with its label turned on.
See Work with Annotations for how to position, style, and hide a marker's label.
Filled Region
A polygon with a dashed outline, a semi-transparent fill, and a label.
Only available if your project's usages include a Region usage.
See Work with Annotations for how to position, style, and hide its label.
Leader
A line with an arrow at one end and a text label at the other.
Only available if your project's usages include a Leader usage.
See Work with Annotations for how to position, style, and hide its label.
Arrow
Three types: Major (thick, red), Minor (thin, red), and Dashed (thin, blue). Edit the color, dash, and type in Appearance properties.
See Work with Annotations for more on working with annotation labels.
Upload 3D Model
Places a point with a 3D model property. Upload your own GLTF/GLB in the Files section of the properties palette.
See Upload 3D model for more on importing gltf/glb files
Upload Image
Draw a rectangle, then upload a PNG or JPG in the Files section of the properties palette.
See Importing Images as Annotations for more on this workflow.
