Control Points

When you draw something in Giraffe, you will notice each corner has a small white "dot" outlined in Red.

The corner dots are known as "control points."

Click and drag a control point to move it

Click and release a control point to remove it.

Midpoints

You can also see a transparent red dot at the center of each edge. This is called a "midpoint."

Click a midpoint to add another control point.

A new midpoint generates at the center of the new edges.

Extruding Edges

A straight section of a geometry is called an "edge."

Control points are connected by edges. Midpoints are at the center of edges.

Each edge has 2 handles that look like small arrows. There is one handle on each side of the midpoint.

Click and drag a handle on an edge to extrude that edge.

Extrusion is always parallel to the original edge.
