Chariot typically only works with U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organizations or IRS-recognized public charities.

This includes a diverse array of groups such as national relief organizations, educational institutions, religious entities, and local food banks, all of which either have an IRS exemption or are inherently recognized as public charities.

Some exceptions to the 501c3 rule include houses of worship like churches, synagogues, and mosques.

Different DAF providers have different policies for these types of nonprofits that aren't listed as 501c3.

A good check to see if Chariot can support your nonprofit is to see if you can get your nonprofit listed with a DAF provider active in your region.

Due to restrictions with Donor Advised Funds, Chariot does not support 501(c)(4)s or Private Foundations.

If your organization aligns with these criteria but encounters issues during the signup process, please contact us at contact@givechariot.com for assistance.

While Chariot does not currently support DAF providers internationally, if you are a nonprofit in Canada, Australia, or the UK, that is interested in accepting DAF donations, please sign up for the Chariot newsletter to be the first to know when any expansion into these geographic regions is announced!
