All integrated DAFpay grants will be marked with the "Initiated" status in your Chariot dashboard, indicating that a grant was successfully submitted, but the DAF provider is still processing the gift.
Note: 99% of the gifts initiated via DAFpay will be approved, so you can start thanking your donors for their gift immediately.
Grants initiated via DAFpay will arrive via check or EFT directly from the DAF provider. Look for the "Tracking ID" and "Gift through DAFpay" message in the grant note, which will allow you to mark the grant as completed in your dashboard.
Use the Tracking ID to search for the grant in your dashboard and click the "Edit" next to the "Initiated" status to mark the grant as "Completed."
Gifts with an "Unknown" status
Sometimes, you may encounter a gift with an "Unknown" status.
Unknown Status: Grants marked with the "Unknown" status represent a donation intent from a provider that DAFpay is not yet integrated with.
To make a donation intent via DAFpay, a donor simply provides their intended gift amount and contact information. DAFpay then redirects the donor to the selected provider's portal with instructions on how to complete the gift.
Note: Because DAFpay is not yet fully integrated with the selected provider, we cannot confirm the status of the gift. To confirm that a donation intent was actually submitted, wait a few weeks to see if the grant arrived or contact the donor directly.
Use the Tracking ID to confirm the status of an unintegrated gift. After it arrives, you can update the status directly in the transactions details slider.
Canceled Status: The donation has been canceled. This is a rare occurrence but can happen if the donation was halted by the donor after it was initiated.
