How To Send Tribute Data To DonorPerfect

Updated over 3 weeks ago

It's possible to sync tribute data with the gift created into DonorPerfect. Here's how to do it.

Step 1:

When you are creating your tribute type, select the corresponding DonorPerfect tribute type that you would like the tribute in Givecloud to be mapped to.
You can find your Tributes under Organization Settings > Tributes & Dedications > select + Add or click on an existing tribute to Edit.

In the Integrations tab, this is where you select the corresponding DP tribute type to map to:

The Tribute Type codes shown here are pulled from the field MEMORY_HONOR in DonorPerfect. To properly map the tribute types, ensure you add the desired codes to that field in DonorPerfect or reach out to them for more assistance.

Step 2:

Givecloud will automatically fill in the tribute details into the Tribute Details section on the gift screen in DonorPerfect.

Examples:

  • Linked gifts occur when a recipient is added to the tribute. The recipient will have the linked gift associated with their Donor Record.

  • If the recipient isn't an existing Donor, a Donor Record would be created for the recipient.

  • If the recipient exists as a Donor in DonorPerfect, the link gift will match to the existing Donor Record (using the same matching rules for donors).

Step 3:

You can optionally push details about the tribute into the Gift Narrative field in DonorPerfect. This can be done by going to Settings > Integrations > DonorPerfect > Scroll down till you reach the "Tribute Data"

Here's what it'll look like in DonorPerfect (within the Gift Memo field):
