Card Verification Value (CVV) or Card Security Code (CSC) numbers are additional 3- or 4-digit numbers used as an additional verification that card is being used by the cardholder. These numbers are on both credit and debit cards. Visa, MasterCard, and Discover use a 3-digit number on the back of the card while American Express uses a 4-digit number on the front of the card.

Enabling this verification step within your Enterprise account and your gateway/processor account is your first line of defense against fraudulent transactions. Contact your gateway/processing provider to ensure that you are verifying these numbers as part of the authorization process.

Enabling card verification services in the Enterprise platform:

  1. Navigate to Campaign > Form > Form Questions.

  2. In the Payment Details section, select the gear to the right of CVV Code may be left blank to turn on CVV verification. If the text says CVV Code is required, this option has already been enabled.
