What are Global Questions?

Global Questions are your most commonly used questions that can be shared on multiple forms of your choosing. You create the question once, and it can be quickly added to any form you wish.

Global Questions are also stored in the same Answer Record, so reporting is made easier!

How do you create a Global Question?

In order to create a Global Question, follow the below steps:

1. Click on the main Library Tab:

2. Click on the Global Questions tab that is located within the main Library tab:

3. This will bring you to your list of Global Question that already exist, and where you can add new ones. To create a new Global Question, click on "Add New."

4. For this example, let's say you wanted to know the age demographic of donors. You would create a multiple choice/single response question, and have each choice a different age bracket:

5. After adding a name, label, and answer choices for our example question, click "Save." Your question will now appear within your list of Global Questions!

How can I edit previous Global Questions?

You will notice on individual forms that the "Edit" button is not available for Global Questions:

Global Questions are only editable within the Global Questions tab. Once in that tab, you will click the "Edit" button to make adjustments to the question:

***It is important to note that the Global Question will be updated on all forms that it is located on***

How do I add a Global Question to my Form?

In order to add a Global Question to one of your Forms, please follow the below steps:

1. At the Form-Level, go to the Form Questions tab:

2. There are two different sections you can add questions to: Your Information or Additional Questions. For this example, let's add it to the Additional Questions section. To add the Global Question, you are going to click "Add Global."

3. This will bring up a menu of available Global Question that you can add to the form. Click on the question you want to add:

4. This will add the question to your form, and you can see it listed:

How do I add a Global Question to all of my new Forms I create?

To add a Global Question to all of your new forms, we recommend utilizing the Section Presets, which is also within the main Library tab:

Section Presets are questions you want to include on *EVERY* new form you create. You can have different Section Presets for each form type:

If you have a Global Question that you want asked on every future Donation Form that is created, make sure "Donation Section Presets" is selected from the form option dropdown on the upper right-hand side.

To add the Global Question to all of your new Donation Forms via Section Presets, follow the below steps:

1. In the section of the form you want to have the Global Question appear (Your Information or Additional Questions), click on "Add Global."

2. This will bring up a menu of available Global Question that you can add to the form. Click on the question you want to add:

3. This will add the Global Question to your Donation Section Presets, so all of your new donation forms that are created will automatically include the question:
