Wired Connection for GoPro

Follow the steps below to establish a wired connection using GoPro and Glambot®:

If your GoPro was previously paired with another device, you may need to reset the GoPro to factory settings so that it can be paired to a new device without interruption. Reset the GoPro to factory settings by navigating to [Preferences] - [Reset] - [Factory Reset]

Hero 10/11 Black:

  1. Start with the GoPro unplugged from the USB-C

  2. Swipe down on the touch display, then swipe left

  3. Tap [Preferences]

  4. Tap [Wireless Connections]

  5. Set [Wireless Connections] to ON

  6. Tap [Connect Device]

  7. Tap [GoPro Quik App]

  8. Install/Open the GoPro Quik App on the iPhone

  9. Navigate to the [GoPro] Tab

  10. Tap [Connect a GoPro]

  11. Tap [Connect]

  12. Tap [Pair] when prompted

  13. Name your GoPro or leave as default

  14. If currently at an event, Tap [Skip] when prompted to update (If not rushed for time, update now)

  15. Tap [I’ll do this later] when prompted for cloud upload

  16. Tap [No thanks]

  17. Tap [Let’s Go]

  18. Test the live view by tapping [Enable Preview] on the Quik app (this will force the GoPro to connect to a device using WiFi)

  19. Once this is confirmed working, close the Quik app. It is crucial to have the GoPro connected on the Quik app page before attempting to film using a wired or wireless connection

  20. Plug the USB-C cable into the GoPro and iPhone/iPad (Ensuring all connection points are securely connected on the Glambot® as well)

  21. The Screen on the GoPro should display [USB Connected]

  22. Open Snappic and select your event

  23. Scroll down and tap [Select Accessories] then select [Volume Buttons] and tap [Done]

  24. Tap [Configure Camera] then [Search for GoPro Camera]

  25. Confirm the connection shows [Wired] and select your GoPro camera

  26. Tap [Start Photo Booth]

  27. Configure Video and Slowmo settings, then tap [Start Booth]

  28. Tap [Video] and then select the time edit that best matches your desired Glambot® path

  29. On the Glambot motion control web app, navigate to the advanced settings tab and confirm the connection type is set to [USB]

  30. You are now ready to begin wired recording with your Glambot® and GoPro

Hero 12/13 Black:

  1. Start with the GoPro unplugged from the USB-C

  2. Swipe down on the touch display, then swipe left

  3. Tap [Pair Device]

  4. If [Wireless Connections] is off, tap [Turn On] when prompted, then tap [Pair Device] again

  5. Install/Open the GoPro Quik App on the iPhone

  6. Navigate to the [GoPro] Tab

  7. Tap [Connect a GoPro]

  8. Tap [Connect]

  9. Tap [Pair] when prompted

  10. Name your GoPro or leave as default

  11. If currently at an event, Tap [Skip] when prompted to update (If not rushed for time, update now)

  12. Tap [I’ll do this later] when prompted for cloud upload

  13. Tap [No thanks]

  14. Tap [Let’s Go]
