Account Settings

Manage your GleanMark profile, password, data, and account preferences from the Account Settings page.

How to Access

Go to Settings > Account Settings (/settings/account), or click your profile avatar in the bottom-left sidebar and select “Account Settings.”

Profile

Update your personal information:

  • First Name and Last Name

  • Company Name — your organization or firm name (optional)

Your email address is shown but can’t be changed here. Click Save Changes to apply your updates.

Password

If you signed in with an email and password, a Change Password card lets you set a new one:

  1. Enter your New Password (at least 8 characters)

  2. Confirm the new password

  3. Click Update Password

There’s no current-password field — you just set the new one. If you signed up with Google, the password card doesn’t appear; use the “forgot password” flow if you ever need to add a password.

Your Data

The Your Data card downloads a copy of everything GleanMark holds about you. Click Download my data to get a single JSON file containing your profile, portfolios, watches, saved searches, notes, reports, AI conversations, and the rest of your account data.

A few things worth knowing:

  • The file is built in your browser and downloaded straight to your device. It never touches our servers.

  • It contains personal information, so store it somewhere safe.

  • Notes and documents reflect the workspace you are currently in. Switch workspaces and export again to capture another one.

  • Tick Include my uploaded files to download your documents zipped alongside the data. Without it, the export lists your files with download links that expire in one hour.

A small number of records are not included in the self-serve file. Email privacy@gleanmark.com and we will provide them. The export itself lists exactly which ones they are.

Security

The Security card holds your session and sign-in controls.

  • Automatic sign-out. You are signed out of this device after 30 minutes without activity, with a one-minute warning first so you can stay signed in. Your other devices are not affected.

  • Sign out of all other devices. Ends your sessions on every other browser and device while you stay signed in here. Useful if you left yourself logged in somewhere you no longer control. Other devices may keep working for up to an hour until their current session expires, after which they are signed out.

The Sign Out action in the sidebar signs you out everywhere, including this device.

Closing Your Account

The Close Account button sits in the Danger Zone at the bottom of the page. GleanMark first offers to move you to a free account instead, since you don’t have to close your account to stop paying. If you continue, you choose what happens to your data. Both options close your account and cancel any renewal:

  • Archive and keep my data. Your account closes and you are signed out, but your searches, reports, portfolios and settings are kept. Sign in again any time to restore everything exactly as you left it.

  • Delete permanently and erase my data. Your login, saved searches, reports, portfolios, workspace and AI history are erased, and your subscription is cancelled first. This cannot be undone, and we cannot recover any of it if you come back. Backups roll off on their own schedule.

Either way we ask why you are leaving. The permanent option also requires you to type DELETE to confirm, so you can’t erase your account by accident.

Questions about your information go to privacy@gleanmark.com. Our security page explains how your data is protected, retained, and deleted.
