GleanMark’s Alert Settings page lets you control which alerts you receive and how they’re delivered. Configure settings globally, per portfolio, or per tracked owner.
How to Access
Go to Settings > Alert Settings (/settings/alerts). The page has tabs for Portfolios, Owners, Automated Watches, Custom Watches, Slack, and (for firms) Client Notifications.
Portfolios Tab
Controls alerts for trademarks in your portfolios.
Category Toggles
Toggle entire alert categories on or off:
Prosecution — office actions, status changes, ITU transitions, prosecution events
Milestones — publication, registration, renewal, cancellation, abandonment
Reclassifications — goods/services, Nice class, and design code updates
Deadlines & Renewals — 30/7/1 day deadline reminders
TTAB Proceedings — proceedings, status changes, document entries
Ownership Changes — assignments, correspondent changes
Per-Portfolio Overrides
Each portfolio can have its own alert configuration that overrides your global settings. Access this from the portfolio’s settings page.
Owners Tab
Controls alerts for your tracked owners. Set account-wide defaults that newly tracked owners inherit, then fine-tune each owner individually.
Account Defaults
Choose which alert categories apply by default to every newly tracked owner: New Applications, Assignments, Owner Info, Portfolio Events, TTAB Activity, and Citations. A master toggle pauses or resumes all owner alerts at once.
Per-Owner Controls
Each tracked owner has two switches and a row of category checkboxes:
Active — pause or resume tracking for that owner
Alerts — turn the owner’s alert emails on or off while tracking stays active
Category checkboxes — choose exactly which kinds of activity fire for that owner
Existing owners keep their own settings; you can reset an owner back to your defaults at any time.
Automated Watches Tab
Manage the watch coverage GleanMark sets up for you and review a digest of recent matches.
Custom Watches Tab
Create and edit your own keyword watch searches and control their notification settings. Watch searches are available on Professional and Max plans.
Slack Tab
Configure Slack integration for alert delivery. Connect your Slack workspace to receive alerts in designated channels.
Client Notifications Tab
For firms, configure the client-facing notification emails GleanMark sends on behalf of your clients.
The Alerts Inbox
View all your alerts at /alerts. The inbox provides:
Category chips — filter by alert type
Mark-as-read — clear alerts you’ve reviewed
Snooze — temporarily hide alerts with a snooze timer
Star — mark important alerts for follow-up
CSV export — download alert history
Tips
Start with everything on — it’s easier to mute noise than to discover you missed something
Tune categories per owner to manage volume — keep all categories on for your top competitors and trim the noisy ones (like Reclassifications) for the rest
Snooze instead of dismissing — if an alert isn’t urgent but needs follow-up, snooze it for a few days
Check the alerts inbox weekly even if you rely on email — the inbox has filtering and search that email doesn’t
