When your firm onboards and brings over thousands of marks, the docket fills up fast. Rather than clicking through hundreds of individual three-dot menus, use bulk actions to triage quickly.
Selecting Deadlines
Each row in the /deadlines list view has a checkbox on the left. There are four ways to build a selection:
Click a row checkbox to add it to the selection
Click a section-header checkbox (the one next to “Overdue” or “Next 7 Days”) to select everything in that urgency group. Click again to deselect the group.
Shift+click between two checkboxes to select the entire range between them
Ctrl/Cmd+A (when you’re not typing in a search field) to select every visible row
Press Escape to clear the selection. When you change a filter, rows that are no longer visible drop out of the selection automatically.
The Batch Action Bar
As soon as you have one or more deadlines selected, a cyan action bar appears above the list with four actions:
Mark done — marks every selected deadline as completed. Use this for clearing out a backlog of deadlines you’ve already handled.
Snooze ▾ — dropdown with 7-day, 14-day, and 30-day options. Snoozed deadlines hide from the default view until the snooze window ends, then reappear.
Add to tasks — creates a task assigned to you for each selected deadline. These show up in the My Tasks area and can be completed there.
Remove — asks for confirmation, then removes each selected deadline. System deadlines are soft-cancelled with an audit trail; custom deadlines are permanently deleted.
Progress and Failure Handling
Bulk actions run through your selection one item at a time so you can watch progress in the header of the action bar (“Processing 27 of 54…”). If any individual action fails — for example, because you’ve already marked that deadline done in another tab — the rest continue and a summary appears at the end: “54 of 55 updated. 1 failed.”
Failed rows stay selected so you can retry just those. A full success clears the selection.
Common Onboarding Workflow
If you just imported a big portfolio and see hundreds of deadlines:
Filter the list to Overdue
Click the Overdue section-header checkbox to select every overdue row
Use Snooze 30 days to get them out of your way so you can focus on what’s due this week
Review the snoozed deadlines at your leisure over the next 30 days
Or if many overdue items are for marks your firm doesn’t actively manage:
Filter the list to the specific client or portfolio
Click the section-header checkbox to select all visible deadlines in that bucket
Click Remove and confirm. System deadlines stay in the audit trail; you just clear them off your docket.
What Isn’t Bulk-able Yet
Bulk editing (changing the due date on multiple deadlines at once) isn’t supported. Use the per-row three-dot menu or the detail panel for individual edits.
Calendar view is for visualization, not triage — batch operations are only available in the list view. Flip to List mode if you need to select multiple items.
