Answer: Once a virtual role has at least one applicant interested, we restrict editing or unlisting to ensure a smooth experience for both the GCO and the potential volunteer. This policy helps maintain the integrity of the application process and the expectations of those who have shown interest.

But don't worry. We can help you resolve that issue easily!

Here's how to manage this situation:

If you are want to edit the role but still want to connect with a volunteer about the role:

  1. Navigate to your inbox and search for "you've received an applicant" to find the original application email from Switchboard

  2. Click "view applicant" to review the applicant's details and proceed to accept them if they match your requirements.

During your exploratory call, discuss the potential modifications with the applicant to ensure they are still interested and agree to the new terms. This allows you to adapt the role while still engaging with interested volunteers.

If you wish to remove the role completely without connecting with a volunteer:

  1. Should you decide not to proceed with the applicant and wish to unlist the role, please contact our customer support team for assistance.

  2. You can reach us via the support chat icon or by emailing support@globalswitchboard.io.

  3. Our team will handle communications with the applicant and assist in unlisting the role, ensuring it is no longer visible or available for new volunteers.

To recap...

By following these steps, you can effectively manage your virtual roles while respecting the interests of your applicants. If you need further assistance or have other questions, don't hesitate to contact our support team. We're here to help you make the most out of your experience with Switchboard.
