We're rolling out the Virtual Role Renewal feature to better support and track the ongoing volunteer connections at Switchboard. This update is all about helping those connections last and grow.
New Features and Improvements:
Initial Collaboration Tips:
A few days after you start a new virtual role, you’ll get an email with tips to kick things off strong. It’s packed with advice to help both collaborators start on the right foot
Nurture Email Sequence:
For virtual roles, we’re introducing a nurture email sequence. It keeps you in the loop about important milestones and gives you options to continue or pause your collaboration. You’ll get reminders as the end of each 30-day period nears, making it easy to decide whether to stick around for another month.

Email Sequences for Renewal Decision:
We’ve added a recurring time-out notification sequence to catch your attention and help you make an informed decision about renewing your role every 30 days. You won’t miss out on the chance to renew your commitment thanks to these timely nudges. And, if your collaborator ever "ghosts" you, we'll have clear visibility to help you quickly move on to a better opportunity on Switchboard.
Respectful Disengagement Notifications:
If you choose to step back, we’ll send thoughtful notifications to both you and your collaborator, ensuring everyone parts ways on good terms.
New Virtual Roles Section in KC Dashboard:
Kingdom Consultants, check out the new section in your dashboard! It lets you keep an eye on all your virtual roles—those that are active, completed, or up for renewal.
Enhanced User Interaction with Pending Renewals:
New drawers and interactions from your dashboard make it easier than ever to make decisions each month about your virtual role collaborations.
Renewing a role takes a few as two clicks. Just tell us you want to keep working together, and our system will handle the rest! See below for an example:
Operational Workflow Improvements:
We’ve updated our email setups to cc concierge@globalswithchboard.io on connection requests, applicant emails to GCOs, and exploratory call connection request emails. This tweak helps streamline our operations and keeps things running smoothly within Intercom so we can always provide the highest quality support to our users connecting for the Great Commission.
