Globus allows you to get updates directly from your candidates on their upcoming availability. Utilizing availability requests will improve the matching and also reduce the number of sendings to unavailable candidates. You can send a request directly by email or SMS and any updates they make will be reflected on the candidate page. The availability link is unique for each candidate and can be accessed at any time if the availability of a candidate changes. Availability can be reported 365 days in the future.

Request availability

Use the request availability functionality to always be up to date on your candidate(s) availability so you can be prepared for upcoming job requests.

  1. Select Filter Tab Active (and any other filter you would like) from the Candidate page

  2. Select the candidates you'd like an update from and select request availability. You can also use filters or search for specific candidates.

  3. A new pop-up window will appear so you can edit the text and choose if the availability should be sent by email and/or SMS. A web link will be automatically added to your message when sending for your candidates to access.

  4. Click Send and the email/SMS will be sent to the candidates.

Availability requests can also be sent directly from the candidate profile to one individual candidate. Find the candidates you want to send the availability request to and select the calendar tab. Then click the menu in the top right corner and select "Request availability". The same template is used as in the example above.

Candidate View

  1. The candidates will receive a link by SMS and/or email with the text provided above.

2. When the candidate clicks on the link, a new window in the browser will be opened.

The candidate can filter on different days, reject all shifts or manually choose availability and click Send in.

3. Candidates can also choose time preference whether they prefer to work day, evening or night shifts. This selection will eventually enhance a better result in matching the right candidate with the right job. Shift time preference is not set per day, but is a general preference of the candidate.

4. When a candidate replies, the calendar will change the background color based on the candidate's reported availability.

  • Green: the candidate is available.

  • Grey: the candidate is unavailable.

  • White: availability is unknown/not reported.

Manually update candidate availability

Go to the Candidate detail page, select tab Calendar, then select day(s) where you want to change the Availability, then select Mark Available or Mark Unavailable. You can also remove availability by using Mark Unknown.
