Charge at a Spark Alliance station

Updated this week

Good news: with the Spark Alliance, charging your electric vehicle becomes easier – even outside your usual network. Here’s how it works.

🚗 What is the Spark Alliance?

The Spark Alliance brings together four ultra-fast charging networks in Europe: Electra, Fastned, Ionity, and Atlante.

Their shared goal? Allow anyone to use any Spark network station with just one app. No more juggling multiple apps!

📱 How does it work in practice?

You can keep using your usual app (e.g. Electra) to start a charge – even at a Fastned or Ionity station.

👉 Example: From the Electra app, you can start a charge at a Fastned station simply by opening the Electra app.

No extra registration is required, and payment is handled as usual through the app used to start the session.

🧾 Is the pricing the same everywhere?

Even if stations are shared, each operator sets their own pricing. That means:

  • If you use the Electra app to start a charge on an Ionity station, the public Ionity rate will apply (and vice versa).

  • Discounts or subscriptions from one network do not apply to other networks.

💡 A shared subscription across Spark Alliance members is under consideration but not available yet.

✅ Key takeaways

  • One single app to access over 11,000 ultra-fast charging points in Europe 🌍

  • No need to sign up for other apps

  • Payment is handled through the app you already use

  • Pricing varies depending on the network where you charge
