How do I use the Vertical Alignment Document (VAD)?

Updated over a year ago

The Vertical Alignment Document (VAD) makes it easy to view standards across courses.

Vertical Alignment Document (VAD)

The Vertical Alignment Document (VAD) can be accessed directly from the sidebar of any course, classroom, or when browsing all curriculum content.

The Vertical Alignment Document (VAD) is made up of two sections.

  1. Navigation controls

  2. Standard columns

Navigation controls

The navigation controls are:

  • drop down to quickly jump between sections

  • text filter to show only standards with matching content

  • toggle notes on and off by pressing the notepad

  • control which course standards are displayed by pressing the gear

  • shift the view left and right by pressing the arrows (only when more course standards are selected than currently fit on screen)

Standard columns

The standard columns show all standards for that column's course standards. An empty box will display in the column when a course does not have a standard but the other displayed course's do to keep the rows consistent and easy to read.
