Updated over a week ago

Within the Administer page you will have multiple pages and loads of information at times you need to sift through. The best way to take advantage of the many charts you can configure is through reporting. This can been done on any of the tabs on the Administer page.

This article contains how to:

  • Create a Pie Chart

  • Create a Histogram Chart

  • Create a Pivot Table

  • Create a Bar Chart

  • Understand Stats

Create a Pie Chart

A Pie Chart will show customized data as a proportion of a whole.

For example, you could see how many users have completed a certain course versus those who remain in progress.

To achieve this, you would click on "Pie Chart" within the config option of a report. Once here, you would locate "Status" within data field and customize "Max Results" to ensure all users are accounted for. The ensuing Pie Chart will then visually outline your users statuses. All data will update in real time and show on your report.

Create a Histogram Chart

A histogram will show reportable data proportionate to the frequency of a value against its X-Axis interval.

Within a report, click on "Histogram" and edit its X and Y axes to view your customized data.

This can assist in your analysis of certain groups or individual users within certain learning elements. All data will update in real time and show on your report.

Create a Pivot Table

A pivot table can be used to quickly summarize select data within a table and enhance your ability to recognize critical statistics to obtain a desired report. Its ability to highlight and customize crucial information can accelerate the analysis side of reporting rather drastically.

A full list of reportable fields will be shown in the far left hand column. Each field has the ability to be dragged and dropped into the X or Y column which will automatically display values. These values are also summarized to assist in higher level analysis and heat maps can also be added to further make specific numbers stand out.

Create a Bar Chat

A bar chart will provide customized data on values based on a categorical variable. As a result, the data will be grouped as categories and visually displayed against the Y-Axis variable.

To access Bar Chart, you will need to access "Config" within a report and select the option under "Display". All data will update in real time and show on your report.

Understanding Stats

Stats is best utilized within reports in conjunction with the filter tool. It can provide Average, Min, Max or Sum values for users and enrollment reports.

For example, you can determine the average result of all members within a certain group or visualize minimum scores across previous weeks. Stats can be accessed within "Config" of a report and located under the "Display" column. All data will update in real time and show on your report.
