Connecting A Tactic To Asana

Steps on how to automate progress on a tactic using Asana

Updated over a month ago

With Elate's Tactics Integration to Asana, you can now track the progress completed on projects or epics within Asana that impact your objectives.

Start by navigating to Tactics anywhere in Elate. Using the three-dot menu, select "Connect to Integration".

Select your previously connected Asana integration and press connect!

Next, fill out the required fields and hit Save.

Important Things to Note:

  • Selecting a "Project" is a bit nuanced. Asana has both bigger Projects and smaller sub-groups of projects. For example, in this screenshot I have my Project "Cross-Functional Project Plan" with several tasks underneath it for me to complete. I also have what Asana calls "groups" or "sections" underneath it: "To Do", "Doing", and "Done".

    • A more common example might be a having a Project called "Launch Plan", with sub-sections being "Enablement Materials" and "External Comms".

  • Both Projects and Sections/Groups will appear in the "project" drop-down, giving you the ability to track by Project OR by smaller section.
