Connecting Smartsheet to a Plugin

To begin, you need to first have your Smartsheet connected to a plugin. Please note you will need to follow this step for each sheet you want to connect.

To connect a Smartsheet plugin, navigate to My Plugins.

Click connect

Copy the Smartsheet URL for the sheet you want to use and select a date format. Please note that there must be a date column. Once you're done, click Connect.

You will then be prompted to allow access to your sheet. Select the blue Allow button to continue.

Your plugin will now be shown on your My Plugins page.

Connecting Smartsheet to an Outcome

Now that you have your plugin set up, navigate to an outcome to connect it to your sheet. Select the 3 dot menu in the top right corner and select Connect.

You will then be prompted to select which plugin you want to connect.

Once you select the plugin, you will be taken to a Configure Outcome page. You are able to change the cadence as well as map what information you want to bring over. Once you're done, hit the blue Save button in the bottom right corner.

The outcome will then be populated with the information from your Smartsheet.

Commonly Asked Questions

Q: Smartsheet has different views (Grid, Gantt, Card, and Calendar). Can I pull those into Elate?

A: No. Similar to how Excel and Google Sheets work, you can only configure raw data.
