Notifications sent by Elate make it easy for your team to keep everything up to date with minimal effort! This article covers Automated Notifications (such as status and closing reminders), as well as Trigger-Based Notifications (such as user invites, password resets, nudges, comments, next steps & blockers, and advanced reporting sends.

Automated Notifications

Elate sends several automated notifications to help your team stay on track.

Status Reminders

The first type of automated notification is a Status Reminder notification. This is a reminder sent to users in Elate to update the status of their objectives and tactics, helping you know consistently what’s green, yellow, or red.

Notifications will be sent via email from noreply@goelate.com and have the following subject line: “(Reminder) Update your Objectives in Elate.”

Notifications can also be sent via Slack or Microsoft Teams. This requires the Teams or Slack plugin to be setup in Elate. For instructions on how to set-up your plugins to integrate notifications with Slack and Teams, visit this article.

A Slack status reminder notification from Elate will look like this:

Objectives & Tactics Closing Reminder

Elate will also notify users to close their objectives and tactics at the end of an objective or tactic’s duration. This email notification will also come from noreply@goelate.com with the subject line: “⏰ [Reminder] It's time to close out your objectives in Elate ⏰”.

Notifications will also be sent out via Slack or Microsoft Teams if your org has that plugin setup with Elate.

Trigger Based Notifications

While some triggers are automated, others are based on specific triggers within the platform.

User Invite Notification

Elate will send email notifications to new users added to your Elate team, inviting them to create their Elate account. This email will be sent from noreply@goelate.com and will have the subject: “You Have Been Invited to Elate by (Org Admin Name).”

If you’d like to not send user email invitations right away, please contact your CX rep at Elate and we will disable this notification for you for the time being.

Password Reset Notification

Elate will also respond to password reset requests via email per a user’s request on the login page. This email will be sent from noreply@goelate.com and has the subject “Reset Your Elate Password”.

Nudge to Update an Objective Status or to Close an Objective

Struggling to get users to keep Elate updated throughout your organization? Org Admins have the ability to “nudge” a user in Elate, reminding them to update that status of one of their objectives.

To send a “nudge”, navigate to the Plan Execution tab and select an objective (or as many as you’d like) from the table. Select “Nudge” in the upper right-hand corner and select whether you’d like to remind coworkers to “Update Status” or “Close Objective”.

Begin by adding custom message to go along with your Nudge.

Next, confirm that you are okay with notifications going out to the team members you've selected. If you'd like to avoid notifying some in particular, simply un-select the checkbox provided.

Then press "Send"!

Nudges will be sent via email, Slack, & Microsoft Teams (if the required plugin is installed). The email will be sent from noreply@goelate.com and will have the subject line of “(Reminder) Update your Objectives in Elate” or “(Reminder) Close Your Objectives in Elate” depending on what’s been selected.

Collaboration: Commenting Notifications

Elate will send you a notification whenever you are tagged in a comment in Elate. Notifications will be sent from noreply@goelate.com via email, and will be sent via Slack or MS Teams if you have the plugin installed.

The email will have the subject line: “You were tagged in an Elate comment” and will look like this:
