Connecting Excel Online to a Plugin

Before you can connect your Excel sheet to an outcome in Elate, you need to connect a plugin. Please note you will need to follow these steps for each workbook you wish to connect to Elate. To connect a plugin, navigate to your My Plugins page using the arrow in the bottom left corner.

From your My Plugins page, you will see a card for Excel Online under the Available Plugins section. Select the Connect button on the Excel Online card.

You will then be prompted to enter the URL for the Excel Online Workbook you want to connect and select the date format. Please note you need to have a date column and the format needs to match the format you select here. Select the Connect button in the bottom right corner when you're done.

You will then see your plugin under the My Plugins section.

You have successfully connected your workbook to Elate!

Connecting Excel Online to an Outcome

Now that your workbook is connected to a plugin, you are able to connect it to an outcome! Navigate to an outcome to connect your workbook and select the 3 dot menu in the top right corner then select Connect.

You will then be prompted to select which plugin you want to connect.

Once you select the plugin, you will be taken to a Configure Outcome page. You are able to change the cadence, select the sheet you want to pull over, and map the information you want to bring over. Once you're done, hit the blue Save button in the bottom right corner.

The outcome will then be populated with the information from the sheet you selected!

Commonly Asked Questions

Q: Does my sheet need to be formatted in a specific way?

A: Yes! It's important to know that the integration pulls information in based on column headers and a date column is required. As mentioned above, the date format must match the format you choose when connecting the plugin and it must be in a column.
