Demo Club Fields are club attributes of the golf club (e.g., Type, Make, Model, etc) that make up the demo club form (as shown below).
Every golf club stores different information so it is important that you review and customize the form and add or edit the existing custom fields to meet the needs of your club. Custom fields are useful in cases where you need to store additional demo club information that is not available as a standard field. Custom fields are also available as data fields for automated text me ssages and email templates.
In this article, we will discuss managing the demo club forms by adding/editing demo club custom fields.
Demo Club Form:
The demo club form is organized by categories (as shown below).
Within each category are fields. By default, there will already be standard fields available in the form (e.g., Type, Make, Model, etc).
Creating Demo Club Custom Fields:
During your onboarding process, your account manager may or may not have uploaded demo club custom fields for you. Each demo club custom field is an attribute of the golf club (e.g., Club Head Make, Shaft Make, Grip Make, etc.). You can always add more custom fields if necessary.
You can create custom fields manually using the following instructions:
Go to Services > Demo Clubs > Custom Fields > New Custom Field.
Enter the following:
Name: Name for the custom field.
Type: The types are categories on the demo club form. Each type groups custom fields based on a part of the club:
Club: Used for full clubs and head components.
Shaft: Used for full clubs and shaft components.
Grip: Used for full clubs and shaft components.
Description: Enter the (optional) description of the custom field. This description will be listed on the custom fields summary page for internal use only.
Display Order: Select the display order within the selected category. For instance, if there are six fields included in a category, you will need to enter the order in which the field should be displayed. If you'd like it listed 2nd, enter "2". Keep in mind that you will need to update the display order of other fields included in the same category so there are no missing or duplicate entries.
Display this custom field in short description for full clubs/heads inventory: Select if you'd like this field displayed in the short description when checking out a demo club. This will help you better identify clubs when viewing the dropdown menu. Click Here for details.
Click "Save" (as shown below).
The custom field will then be created and added to your demo club custom fields list and demo club form. The sequence below shows the process of creating a custom field:
Editing Existing Demo Club Custom Fields:
You can view and edit current custom fields by going to Services > Demo Clubs > Custom Fields (as shown below). Use the action drow-down to edit or delete an existing custom field.
