Managing Demo Inventory Manually

Your demo club inventory can be uploaded via spreadsheet or entered manually. In this article, we will discuss how to manage your demo inventory manually:

  • Entering Demo Clubs Manually

  • Editing Demo Clubs Manually

  • Deleting Demo Clubs Manually

Entering Demo Clubs Manually:

To enter a club manually, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Services > Demo Clubs > Inventory > Add New Demo Club.

  2. Enter the unique Tracking ID for the demo club. This ID is displayed in the club/component selector when checking out a demo club, so it is important that the Tracking ID can quickly identify the club. When entering a unique tracking ID you have two options:

    1. Auto Assign: Golf Shop will auto-generate the Tracking ID.

    2. Manually: You can manually assign the tracking ID by typing it into the field.

  3. Select the kind of item you are entering into the inventory. If your club has components, head, and shaft, enter them separately. You can enter:

    1. Full Club: Select this option if the item comes as a complete club that can not be separated.

    2. Club Head: This option will be for a club head. Note: Select this option for the club head if the shaft and club head can be separated.

    3. Shaft: This option will be for a shaft. Note: Select this option for the club head if the shaft and club head can be separated.

  4. Enter any additional club details (shown below) that will help you identify the demo. These fields are optional, but the additional information will help identify and summarize every demo transaction. Click Here for details on managing these fields.

  5. Click "Save" or click "Save and Create Similar Club." When clicking "Save and Create Similar Club" a new demo form is automatically populated with the same information as the previous demo club.​

Repeat the steps if necessary.

Update Existing Inventory Manually:

If you need to make minor modifications to a few demo items, this can be done simply by editing the item from the demo inventory within Golf Genius Golf Shop. To make changes manually to the existing inventory, follow these directions:

  1. Go to Services > Demo Clubs > Inventory.

  2. Find the item you would like to update. Click the action drop-down and select "Edit."

  3. Make the necessary changes.

  4. Click "Save" (as shown below).

Deleting Demo Clubs Manually:

If you need to remove a few demo items from inventory, this can be done simply by deleting the item from the demo inventory page within Golf Genius Golf Shop. To remove the item manually from the existing inventory, follow these directions:

  1. Go to Services > Demo Clubs > Inventory.

  2. Find the item you would like to remove. Click the action drop-down and select "Delete."
