The new Gondola website editor is a fully visual experience that lets you edit your site directly — no coding or complicated menus required. Below is a quick overview of the key features.

Editing Sections

Click Edit Section on any section of your site to open its settings. From there you can update the title, subtitle, text, call-to-action buttons, add a YouTube video, and more. Every section type — hero, testimonials, FAQs, logos, products — works the same way.

You can also filter product sections by category. For example, if you want one section showing only camper rentals and another showing RV parks, just open each product section and select the appropriate category filter.

Navigating Pages

Switch between pages by clicking the navigation links on the site itself, or use the page dropdown at the top of the editor. From the dropdown you can also add new pages. Each page has its own settings where you can update the page title and meta description.

Adding & Reordering Sections

Click Add Section to insert a new section on any page. You'll see options for headers, blog posts, contact forms, product grids, FAQs, and more. Once added, sections can be moved around on the page by dragging them into the order you want.

Shared Sections

A shared section is one that appears on multiple pages and stays in sync. For example, if you have the same FAQ section on your homepage, about page, and contact page — updating it once updates it everywhere.

To make any section shared, click Edit Section, then click Make Shared. You can also add existing shared sections when adding a new section to a page.

AI Editing Tool

The AI button (currently in early beta) lets you make quick edits using natural language instructions. For example, you could ask it to rewrite your hero section to be more punchy, or update all FAQ answers that mention your cancellation policy.

The AI will show you a preview of what it's changing before anything is applied. You can preview the changes live on your site, accept them, or reject them entirely — nothing changes until you approve it.

Tip: Give the AI specific instructions for best results. Reference the section type (e.g. "hero section," "FAQ section") and be clear about what you want changed.

Desktop & Mobile Preview

Toggle between desktop and mobile views to see how your site will look on different devices.

Saving & Publishing

All changes are automatically saved as you work — you never have to worry about losing your progress. However, saved changes are not live on your website until you click the Publish button. This means you can make as many edits as you want and only push them live when you're ready.

Staging URL

Your site has a staging URL where you can preview changes before publishing. Click Preview in the editor to open the staging version of your site.

Managing Blogs, Categories & Tours

You can manage blogs, categories, and tours/products directly from the editor navigation. Click on any of these to view and edit your content without leaving the editor. Analytics are also accessible from the editor.

Note: A few features like lead management are still only available in the main Gondola app.

Still Evolving

The new editor is actively being improved. If you run into any issues or have questions, email us at support@gondola.travel and we're happy to help.
