Tool Selection

Gondola supports a variety of different tools that can be used to add pop-ups or to-bars to your site and are easy to implement. Several of our customers really like hellobar.com which has a good free tier and works nicely.

Our general recommendation is to pick a tool that meets your needs. If you simply need to communicate weather updates or special deal details on an ad-hoc basis and don't mind their logo (or are willing to pay to have it removed), HelloBar should be great. If you have more specific requirements around branding, display logic, integrations with CRMs for lead forms, etc., you may want to expand your search to ensure you find the best fit.

Implementation

Step 1: Acquire the Code Snippet

Once you've found the tool for you, use it to configure the settings, color, and logic (if applicable) to your bar or pop-up, and then locate the code snippet needed to add it to your site.

Step 2: Add the Code Snippet to Your Site

Once you've found it, all that's left to do to add it to your site is to paste the code snippet that they provide to your website’s body code. To do this, log into the platform, open the “Business Info” section in the left-hand navigation panel, paste the code snippet into the “Body Code” field, and hit save!
