Requesting Changes for Your Gondola Website

Review your Gondola draft site with the Pastel interface. Submit requests, navigate, and track progress.

Congratulations on receiving your draft website from Gondola! It's now time to review the content and ensure that it meets your business expectations. In this article, we will guide you on using our Pastel interface to effectively review your website and request any necessary updates.

Important information

  1. Our ability to keep costs low is due to our efficient and streamlined process for both creating your site and incorporating your requested changes.

  2. Please note that changes made through the Pastel interface will not be immediately visible on the site:

    • Our team will receive your requests and implement the changes for you.

    • Product and blog post changes can be made directly in the platform.

  3. Utilize the Pastel interface to submit change requests for your site, both now and in the future. This will enable us to:

    • Clearly understand your requests.

    • Prevent any delays in implementation.

    • Keep track of all your submitted requests.

  4. We kindly ask that you focus primarily on content changes:

    • As our framework is mostly fixed, there may be certain requests we cannot accommodate.

    • If we cannot fulfill a request, please submit a feature request using the product portal link on your dashboard.

Submitting requests

  1. Please provide specific details in your request.

  2. Update the text yourself according to your desired outcome.

  3. Utilize the "Submit Text Changes" option to modify the text.

  4. Click the ๐Ÿ“Ž paperclip icon to change an image.

  5. Add a YouTube link to update a video.

Unsupported requests:

  1. If your request pertains to layout, structure, or specific elements not currently available, kindly submit a feature request.

  2. Feature requests can be submitted here: https://gondola.canny.io/feature-requests

Navigating your website:

  1. Use the "Browse / Comment" toggle located at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Switch to "Browse" mode to navigate your site.

  3. Toggle back to "Comment" mode to leave change requests.

Tracking your changes using the left-hand sidebar:

  1. Open the sidebar to monitor your requests.

    • 'Active' indicates a pending request.

    • 'In Progress' signifies that we are currently working on the request.

    • 'In Review' is for more complex requests requiring your attention.

    • 'Resolved' means that we have completed the requested changes.

Upon completion of your review, please click the 'done reviewing' button.

If you encounter any difficulties accessing the Pastel interface or receive an "unable to login" message, we recommend trying a different browser. Chrome, Edge, and Firefox should function without any issues.
