Ever been in a situation where you've requested updates in Pastel, got the "completed" notification, but then don't see any changes on your site? Don't worry, you're not going crazy. Your website is designed to be cached to perform well all over the globe. So, a quick hard refresh should do the trick to show you the newest changes.

First off, a hard refresh isn't your typical "click the refresh arrow" thing. It's the superhero version that clears the cache for that specific page to load all the new goodies like scripts, styles, or new features.

So, let's dive into how to do this on different browsers.

Google Chrome

  • Windows: Hold down Ctrl and hit F5.

  • Mac: Press Cmd + Shift + R.

Firefox

  • Windows: Ctrl + F5, yep, same as Chrome.

  • Mac: You guessed it, Cmd + Shift + R.

Safari (only for Mac, obviously)

  • First, go to Safari > Empty Cache, or just hit Opt + Cmd + E.

  • Then click refresh on the address bar or simply hit Cmd + R.

Internet Explorer/Microsoft Edge (Windows)

  • It's Ctrl + F5 for you, no surprises here.

And that's it, you're all set! Now go enjoy those updates.
