When you place a shipping order for an oversized furniture item, we will begin the fulfillment process within 3 days. Here is what you should expect:

  • Our team will coordinate with the freight company to pick up your item

  • Within 10 days of fulfillment, the freight company will contact you directly to schedule a delivery date

  • You have 48 hours to respond to respond and schedule your delivery date and time; please make sure someone over the age of 18 is home to sign and inspect the item when it arrives

  • Your gear will arrive and should be inspected in the presence of the driver

Please note, if you do not contact the freight company within 48 hours from their initial contact with you, the item will be returned to us and you will be charged a 50% restocking fee.

Damaged items:

In the event there is an issue with the item during your inspection, please do not refuse the shipment from the driver and you must follow the instructions below if there are any issues:

  • Write DAMAGE on the paperwork provided by the driver, document the damage, take pictures, and email us at connect@goodbuygear.com

  • If the driver doesn’t allow you to open the package for inspection or can’t wait, please write on the Bill of Lading: SUBJECT TO INSPECTION and have the driver sign it.

  • If the container in your shipment shows visible signs of damage, open them immediately to check the contents, and ask the driver to inspect the contents with you. Then, write a precise description of the damage on both your copy and the freight company’s copy of the delivery receipt.

If the damage is not listed on the delivery receipt, you are releasing the freight company and GoodBuy Gear of any liability for damages not reported on the delivery receipt.
