Having a single view of all your customer's interactions is not only a best practice, increasingly it is the differentiator between success and failure. We have designed with this principle and we want to promote your CRM first instead of creating silos for your data.
We connect to popular CRMs natively and can support exporting data via SFTP to a wider group of systems and legacy CRMs.
Please find instructions below on setting up data exporting via SFTP.
SFTP
Goodkind can export data as a .CSV to a SFTP location of your choice, or we can create a location for you. Feel free to ask your Success Manager about creating one.
Before you export data, ensure the following:
a. Your data coming into Goodkind has the custom attributes mapped
b. The export frequency from Goodkind is in sync with your CRM's import frequency
Step 1:
Go to the Data Exporting setting in your workspace settings.
Step 2:
Select FTP and enter the SFTP details. If you have your own SFTP location, make sure you have it at hand at this step. If your SFTP is created by Goodkind, you can always request it from your Success Manager.
Step 3:
Enter all the details in the form. If you are using a Goodkind SFTP location, then the Port number will be "22" and the SFTP Path Prefix will be "/upload/Export."
Note: We support only one export destination at this point.
Once you add the details, click "Connect."
Step 4:
You will receive a confirmation ("Integration connected" notification) once the integration is connected. Next, setup the sync frequency.
We recommend setting frequency to once every day, but it could be set to as frequent as once every 30 minutes. We don't recommend every 30 minutes however, as it could lead to performance delays with your CRM.
Step 5:
This is probably the most important step in the process. You can set the export file structure. Click on "Set up an automation."
Step 6:
Choose the fields from Goodkind you would like to export. The data is exported as "export.csv" with the first row as headers. You can specify what each column will be named at this step. The columns will appear in the same order as you set them at this step.
Once complete, click on "Complete Mapping."
Step 7:
Launch a campaign, and the the contacts will be added to the export queue and will sync as per sync frequency.
Recommended Best Practice:
We recommend allowing 30 minutes to 1 hour between the frequency at which your CRM syncs with Goodkind, and when the sync happens. Say your CRM pulls information at 4 AM every day, then your Goodkind sync event should be 3:30 AM latest. This ensures that the sync event to SFTP has written the file with your most updated data before your CRM pulls it in.
