Excited to share notes on the latest Mobile App release, our largest mobile release in over 6 months.

With version 3.2, we rebuilt a number of key components of the mobile app, and added new and exciting features that enhance the camera, make recording 1:1s faster and allow recorders to better prioritize their tasks. You can watch a walkthrough of the new app here.

Highlights:

  • A new ‘Tasks’ page! The tasks page shows you a streamlined list of assigned tasks, categorized into two tabs: Urgent and To-do.

  • Back to back mode. For 1:1 campaigns with multiple tasks, we’ve built a new flow where users can start the next task within the recorder view

  • New replies tab, grouped by contact

  • Improved contact details: Quickly see details on your campaigns and contacts in the recording flow.

  • New replies page: Show's all replies grouped by contact like it's a conversation

All improvements and new features:

  • ‘Back to back’ flow

After a user submits a task within a 1:1 campaign that involves recording multiple stories, they will be directed to the "back to back" page. From there, they have the option to either start recording the next task in the campaign or exit to the home page.

  • Tasks Page

    • Introducing the new Tasks page, which features a streamlined list of assigned tasks categorized into two tabs: Urgent and Todo.

    • The Urgent tab groups together any tasks that are within 48 hours of a campaign or story's due or scheduled date. Meanwhile, the Todo tab holds all other tasks that aren't classified as urgent.

    • Under each 1:1 campaign header on this page, you'll find a wing that displays up to three of its stories.

    • The Completed Tasks tab on the page allows users to tap on uploaded tiles to view corresponding details or on sent tiles to access the video page.

  • New campaign and contact details pages

    • One to one campaign details page

    • One to one campaign story details page

    • Contact details page (only for one to one campaign story tasks)

    • One to many, individual task (quick send), and collect videos details page.

  • New conversations/Replies tab

    • Show's all replies grouped by contact like it's a conversation

    • Now you also have the choice of replying to the contact's email or phone number.

  • Home screen upgrades

    • ‘Most recent tasks’ section showing the three most recently assigned tasks.

    • ‘Goodkind tips’ section for sharing best practices. Some Tips link to articles with more details.

  • Improvements to the user authentication (login) flow to decrease user error rate.

  • Notification page & remote notifications

    • Better overview of information on notifications ‘tiles’ (campaign type, action, contact)

    • Updated UI on notification Tiles to feel/look much better.

    • New Filter capability (newest, oldest, unread)

  • Fun (and occasional) confetti launch after submitting a one to many video, individual task (quick send), and Collect videos.

  • New audience card on the camera page

    • On the camera page, pinned attributes will show at the top of the audience card making it easier and faster to see context for your video.

    • The audience card is now scrollable on the camera page to see all information shared by admins.

  • Snapchat only on iOS

    • More reliability on Filter buttons within the camera screen (improved UI, tap ability).

    • Filter selections are persistent across all recording sessions after they are selected once, unless they are changed.

    • Pending an upcoming Web App release, Admins can add a Background image for specific campaigns that will appear behind the recorder’s video messages.

Bug fixes

  • Improved consistency opening the live chat capability from inside the app.

  • Notification redirects have been optimized to bring you to the correct page as quickly as possible, allowing for a seamless navigation experience.

  • Attributes that are pinned will now show up at the top of the list on the camera page audience card, making it easier for you to access your desired attributes.

  • Custom attributes in scripts will now show up with a blue text background to easily highlight what will change between each script, helping you stay organized and on track.

  • Android users can enjoy a new and improved system back navigator that will bring them back to where they were, except when on the replies/tasks/account page.

  • Previously, contact attribute values with line breaks were not visible on some devices. Now, this issue has been resolved, and you can put as many lines as you’d like in your custom attributes.

  • Our team has been working hard to optimize local storage, and we are happy to announce that all you need is about 1GB of device space to record as many videos as you’d like.
