What is a WhatsApp template?
WhatsApp is a subsidiary of Meta Business (commonly known as Facebook). As part of their Privacy Policy, all outbound WhatsApp messages must be reviewed and approved by WhatsApp prior to being used for your outreach efforts. The approval process typically takes around 1-2 business days.

How do WhatsApp templates work in Goodkind Inbox?
Once your WhatsApp templates are approved by Meta Business, there are a few caveats to keep note of when managing your WhatsApp messages in Goodkind Inbox:
You cannot edit your WhatsApp template once it is approved and visible in your Goodkind Inbox. Should you wish to change or edit your template's copy, it will undergo another approval process by WhatsApp.
All outbound messages must start via a WhatsApp template: Goodkind Inbox will block you from sending via WhatsApp unless a pre-approved template is selected.
Only when a contact replies to your WhatsApp template are you able to engage in 2-way conversations.
π‘ You are unable to initiate a WhatsApp conversation unless a contact has responded to your initial WhatsApp template.
WhatsApp implements a 24HR window to engage in 2-way conversations with contacts that have responded to your templated message. If you wish to continue the conversation beyond 24 hours, you need to send a new templated message.

Create generalized follow up templates. To counteract WhatsApp's 24HR conversational window, we highly recommend creating 2-3 variations of follow up messages to engage in conversation with your contacts.
Turn on WhatsApp notifications to ensure that you are immediately notified once a contact responds to your WhatsApp message.
