Activity Types

There are 2 activity types that you can send back to HubSpot from Goodkind.

  1. Emails Engagement type.

  2. Communications Engagement type: within this activity type, the field “HubSpot Communication Channel Type” only supports WhatsApp, SMS, or LinkedIn. This field can also be hardcoded.

When configuring your export, you are able to customize 2 attributes/each type. In some cases, instead of adding an attribute, they can even be hardcoded.

For example👇:

Required Values

Although both activity types have customizable fields available, for every pay-load you set-up, they must always be tied to the following 2 values:

  • HubSpot Owner ID: This tracks and connects the activity done by each of your contacts. You can hardcode 'hubspot_owner_id' to the actual values of the contact owner (i.e., 12345678), or you can map it to the custom attribute name that it is associated with in Goodkind.

  • HubSpot Contact ID: This maps the activity to the Goodkind attribute “Contact CRM ID”. This field allows us to track contact activity from import all the way through to export.

🔎 All user activity will be displayed in the Contact View in HubSpot.

Data Export Examples

We recognize that there may be scenarios where a contact is yet to have a staff assigned (HubSpot Owner Id) to their event data. This is how Goodkind engagement data will look like in HubSpot with and without a HubSpot Owner ID:

For all contacts without a HubSpot Contact Id, the 'from' field will remain blank:
