1️⃣ What it is
When you add PIN on delivery to a drop-off, we send your recipient a 4-digit code. The courier has to collect that code from them before the delivery can be completed.
2️⃣ Getting it switched on
PIN on delivery is off by default.
If you'd like it enabled on your account - just contact us via Intercom/ email or your account manager.
3️⃣ How to add it
Book a delivery as usual. On the delivery step, select PIN on delivery.
Enter your recipient's email address and mobile number. This is where we send the PIN, so both are required.
The fee appears in your quote before you pay.
You can add or remove the option any time before you book.
4️⃣ What your recipient gets
We send the PIN by SMS as soon as the courier collects the parcel. It's also in the "courier on the way" email and shown on the tracking page while the courier is on the way.
5️⃣ What it costs
The fee for your region is shown during the booking process. PIN on delivery is optional, so you'll see the price before you decide whether to add it to your booking.
5️⃣ When it isn't available
PIN on delivery can't be used with Leave Safe, next-day or partner carrier deliveries, or shifts. You'll need to choose one or the other.
6️⃣ If your recipient doesn't have the PIN
The courier will contact our support team, who can check the details and release the delivery if it's safe to do so.
