All About Estimates

GorillaDesk's simple estimate process will allow you to bid on and close new business.

Five statuses exist for estimates:

  • Draft: an estimate not yet sent to the customer

  • Pending: an estimate waiting for a response from the customer

  • Won: this estimate has been accepted by the customer

  • Won & Invoiced: this won invoice has been converted into an invoice in GorillaDesk

  • Lost: an estimate which was denied by the customer

Sending an estimate for E-Signature:

Sending an estimate for E-Signature will allow your customer to sign their estimate and forward it back to your GorillaDesk account.ย 

Customizing estimate email & SMS templates

Open Settings > Email & SMS > Estimates to edit your outgoing estimate email and SMS message templates.

Converting estimates into invoices & jobs:

Once an estimate is won you have the option to convert it into an invoice only or an invoice attached to a new job.

When converting an invoice into a job it will replace any existing invoice you may have assigned to your service template.

Automated estimate reminders:

In your system Settings > Emails & SMS you'll find an option to setup your estimate reminder templates.

You can have GorillaDesk send up to 3 automated estimate reminders to close more business on your behalf automatically.

Reporting & batch actions for estimates:

Under Reports / All Estimates you will be able to sort and filter through all your existing estimates.

From here you can also access these batch functions:

  • Send batch estimates reminders by email

  • Print batch estimates for mailing

Complete estimate history log:

Track the progress of an estimate every step of the way with a detailed estimate history log.
