Stripe Double Charges

If you've noticed a double charge on your customer's payment, we understand your concern. While this is uncommon, it is an occasional occurrence within Stripe’s system, as noted in various forums and reports.

Based on our experience, these rare technical errors originate from Stripe's connection. To minimize this, we’ve implemented safeguards to prevent duplicate submissions, reducing incidents by 99.9%. However, once the payment is processed through Stripe, occasional issues can still occur beyond our gateway’s control.

Stripe has a dedicated support page discussing this issue, and it has also been reported across various connected software platforms.

How to Verify Transactions
To confirm whether a duplicate charge has occurred:

  1. Navigate to the GorillaDesk Payment tab to review transaction details.

  2. Log in to your Stripe dashboard and verify all related transactions.

  3. Check timestamps and authorization codes to identify any unintentional duplicate charges.

It is important to recognize that every system has minor setbacks, and in some cases, issues may be beyond both your control and ours due to reliance on a third-party platform.
